Overview
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is an action-RPG developed and published by Square Enix, released in 2024 on PS5 and then in 2025 on PC. It is the second part of the trilogy that revisits Final Fantasy VII, and the sequel to Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade.
Story and world
After leaving Midgar, Cloud and his companions set off in pursuit of Sephiroth across the world.
The characters have never been so well written.
Gameplay
The game finally opens up the world: you roam large regions, and exploring them is a delight, with a frankly staggering amount of side content, minigames included, such as the Queen's Blood card game.
The combat system gains depth with the synergy attacks, actions that two characters perform together.
On the other hand, the QTEs just to open a door, there to pad the length, are a bit annoying.

A world that finally opens up, a deeper combat system and characters better written than ever, but QTEs that pad the length and are a bit annoying.
