Overview
Abyssus is an indie game on PC that blends FPS, RPG and roguelite, and is played in co-op. In a roguelite you play run after run, and each run is built differently depending on the weapons and upgrades you pick up along the way.
Gameplay
It is a pretty interesting game: you progress floor by floor, fighting mobs.
There is a range of different weapons, which can be obtained in various ways: by finishing levels within a time limit, by finding them hidden in certain spots on some maps, and so on. So unlocking new weapons is as much about exploration as it is about speed.
There is also a progression system across the levels: as you advance, you pick upgrades from the ones on offer.
Between the weapons and the upgrades, there are plenty of combinations to try, which gives the game good replay value.
Verdict
The game is quite enjoyable and pleasant to play with friends. With all the possible combinations, the replay value is good.
