Overview
Battlefield 6 is a first-person shooter developed by DICE, Criterion, Motive and Ripple Effect, and published by Electronic Arts, released in 2025. Alongside the main game, it offers a free Battle Royale mode, REDSEC, which you can play without buying the game.
Gameplay
Personally, I am not the kind of player who plays FPS games. I am one of those people who get lost in the middle of a fight while their friends are saying "but there is someone right there, 3 km out, 150, the tiny moving pixel".
Unlike 2042, with this one I only play the Battle Royale mode, which is free, with my friends. The idea: squads are dropped onto a large map, gather gear and fight each other while the playable area shrinks, until only one is left.
Verdict
The game is fun, and the Battle Royale part is a good time when you play as a group and do not run into hackers.
